The defendant pleaded not guilty, saying that he was not home when the money got missing.
Mr Abdulrasaq alleged that his wife does not obey his instructions and prefers to do things her way.
“The respondent is hereby sentenced to three weeks’ community service with effect from today,” the judge ruled.
“He has abandoned our matrimonial bed for me and the children, as he now sleeps on the couch in the living room without any affection or care,” said Ms Nagode-Allah.
“My parents have good plans for me,” said the Yabatech student.
