Mr Wahab assured residents that the state government has implemented measures against flooding.
The measures were sequel to a warning by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) that heavy rainfall might cause severe flooding across 30 states.
The province also issued a meteorological risk warning for geological disasters.
Another landslide occurred during a rescue operation on Monday.
