Mr Alausa said the initiative aimed to phase out obsolete equipment in the polytechnics.
The provost stated that the college’s goal was to train competent nurses to deliver quality care and lead in advancing healthcare.
Mr Baba said the country cannot grow as a nation until it has a better health outcome.
The Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, admitted 3,696 students for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The legislator said the college would organise courses for In-service instructors and provide training and technical skills for self-reliance.
The approved programmes are to start in the current 2022/2023 academic session.
