The child rights bill was signed into law by Governor Bala Mohammed in December 2023.
The house jerked up the budget from the initial N340.6 billion presented by the governor to N358.7 billion.
The governor assured the people of the state that the budget would be utilised judiciously for the benefit of the populace.
Mr Mohammed lauded the speaker and members of the State House of Assembly for the timely passage of the budget.
The budget estimate of N159,572,481,915.51 has 56 per cent allocated for recurrent expenditure and 44 per cent for capital expenditure.
The development came barely one week after the state House of Assembly passed the bill.
Mr Moriki assured the governor of timely approval of the budget proposal by the assembly.
Mr Eno had, on Nov. 21, presented a budget of N845.62 billion for 2024 to the House for consideration.
Mr Bello also thanked other stakeholders that contributed to his success over the years.
