The PDP charged the Inspector General of Police to immediately catch, arrest, and prosecute Mr Yunusa-Ari in compliance with the court order.
Justice Omotosho, who described the suit as “highly unmeritorious,” declared that the “suit lacks merits.”
He charged Mr Fintiri to continue in his delivery of good governance in the state in line with the policy thrust, vision and manifesto of the PDP.
Justice Donatus Okorowo gave the order after Michael Aondoaka, SAN, counsel to Ms Dahiru, moved the ex-parte motion to the effect.
Ms Binani had, on April 26, withdrawn the suit before Mr Ekwo, following Mr Fintiri’s declaration as the winner of the election.
The INEC chairman announced that the commission had received 216 case files related to the 2023 general elections.
“In addition, other officials and individuals culpable in the saga are being interrogated by the team,” Mr Adejobi said.
Fleeing Adamawa resident electoral commissioner Hudu Yunusa-Ari is expected to turn himself in to the police on May 5, Peoples Gazette has learnt.
The police invitation would give the INEC chief a chance to defend his declaration and argument as a precursor to a long-drawn legal battle over the matter.
“He is doing himself a disservice by going into hiding. Implied by his action is an admission of guilt which is apparent from his sudden disappearance.”
