President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the governing council and board of trustees of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project.
He confirmed that crcCARE will collaborate with HYPREP and CEER in areas including site assessment, characterisation, remediation, and capacity building.
Mr Zabbey expressed optimism that the visits reflected the growing national and international interest in the project.
Mr Olatunji said the fellowship was a big deal because out of 17 applications only 14 were considered.
Over 200 Ogoni youths in Rivers will be trained as “air hostesses, ticketers and controllers,” among other skills in aviation and seafaring.
“This is a project that previous governments have tried to do, but it just turned out to just be, you know, just talk.”
