He said the EU had been a long-standing partner in the remediation programme.
He said the remediation is being done in phases.

Mr Zabbey expressed optimism that the visits reflected the growing national and international interest in the project.
He said that the beneficiaries were selected based on merit.
According to Mr Zabbey, the HYPREP will also commence the socio-economic study of Ogoniland in 2025.
