The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its resolve to sustain aggressive operations against all forms of insecurity.
The state police commissioner, Ibrahim Adamu, said a joint security arrangement had been put in place to ensure a peaceful and credible exercise.
Mr Adamu assured that U-Report members would continue planting trees across Sokoto.
“The commission adopted the recommendation of the JPCC, and Lawan was demoted by one grade level (from GL-13 down to GL-12),” said the statement.
