The NBA called on courts at all levels to be guided by the constitution and administrative rules when ruling on bail applications.
Mr Ibrahim described corruption as a major driver of underdevelopment.
He said the election would be held in the 1,354 polling units across the six local government areas that make up the senatorial district.
The ICPC chairman noted that corruption could only be effectively addressed through strong institutional safeguards, ethical leadership, and compliance mechanisms.
Responding, defence counsel, E. E. Ekere, said he was unaware of the allegations raised by the prosecution.
The ICPC told the Peoples Gazette that the family’s claims “are not the facts, as they should be.”
The Federal High Court, Kaduna Division, continued with the hearing of Mr El-Rufai’s bail application on Wednesday.
Mr El-Rufai’s mother died on Friday in Egypt.
Contacted by The Gazette on Thursday, Mr Dandaura said he could not make clarifications on the matter but would let the law take its course.
The ICPC said it still had Mr El-Rufai in its custody pursuant to a March 5, 2026, court order.
