“You go to school; you cannot graduate. You finish school, no work. You hear about snakes swallowing money, monkeys taking money and termites eating vouchers.”
They were asked to remain strong in the face of incessant assaults on the church.
The bishop said Christians were to ensure that they elected leaders who could unite the country beyond the narrow confines of tribe and religion.
“They talk a lot, promise a lot, campaign a lot, but do very little concretely to eliminate hunger, insecurity, diseases, and all that we suffer from.”
Mr Kaigama stated that Nigeria could only witness a change when citizens stop offending God and one another.
The Catholic priest also appealed to Christians to pray in unity for progress, stability and peace to reign in Nigeria.
