According to him, the absence of a command band has remained a notable institutional gap.
“This is not merely an anniversary. It’s a tribute to the women who stepped forward when society led them to step back,” said the IGP.
Mrs Love died on April 21 after a protracted illness and was buried in June.
It also warned that officers found violating these principles would face severe consequences.
He said, “the fact that we were civil does not mean that we were weak.”
She urged the injured police officers not to relent in discharging their duties.
“All suspects have been charged to court and now facing prosecution,” he said.
“No agency can perform beyond the limit of resources available to it.’’
