Mr Babafemi also stated that another two suspects were arrested at Igbo Olumo, Ikorodu area of Lagos when NDLEA operatives raided their hideout in the community.
“Their arrest followed weeks of intelligence gathering about the activities of the criminal network, ” he said.
The grandma was apprehended by the operatives of the NDLEA in Ibadan, Oyo state capital and 5.5 kilograms of Loud variant of cannabis imported into the country from South Africa was seized.
Mr Babafemi said that the consignment which was concealed in cereal packs was smuggled for export to Dubai.
The operation led to the arrest of a meth dealer, Mathew Bobby Imonitie, who was caught with 4.033kilograms of the illicit substance.
The anti-narcotics office said multiple suspects were arrested while trying to transfer the illicit goods via an Air Peace flight to Dubai on Tuesday.
Mr Babafemi said that the drugs were concealed in heads of fishes packed in cartons for export to Dubai, the United Arab Emirate.
