UN spokesman Stephanie Dujarric says Nigeria has a strong and proud democratic history of peaceful transition of power in recent years.
The general elections were held on February 25.
The group accused governors of sponsoring touts to attack opposition parties and their candidates.Â
The electoral commission chairman explained that election security was vital to conducting free, fair, and credible polls.
A total of 15 parties fielded gubernatorial candidates for the number one position in the state.
The PDP governorship primaries held on May 25 and produced Dr Dauda Lawal-Dare, as the party’s governorship candidate for the state’s 2023 governorship election.
“Management hereby restates that the scheme remains apolitical and neutral without any form of attachment to any political party,” said the NYSC official.
