The PDP and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, had accused INEC of not obeying a court order granting the inspection of the election materials.
He reassured supporters that the PDP would reclaim the mandate.
“Ogun state PDP will be proudly rejuvenated, rebuilt, rejigged, and repositioned for success in the coming polls by the grace of God,” said Mr Tella.
Mr Jinadu commended INEC’s overall conduct but recommended improving crisis communication to boost voter confidence and curb disinformation.
A joint statement by six civil society groups urged the security agencies to allow the media and observers full access to collation centres for transparency.
The returning officer said the suspension, which took effect immediately, will last until 5:00 p.m., when collation is expected to resume.
At 3:10 p.m., election results from 333 polling units representing 7.37 per cent had been uploaded.
IPAC also urged voters to choose candidates based on manifestos and leadership qualities.
INEC has extended the collection of PVCs to September 15 in Edo, preparatory to the state’s governorship election on September 21.
“We will intensify the information flow as we move closer to the Edo governorship election,” he said.
