INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu on Thursday reiterated that votes cast by the electorate would determine the outcome of the 2023 general elections.
Mr Oyetola described the judgment as a miscarriage of justice, urging the Court of Appeal to set aside the lower court’s ruling and affirm their nominations as valid and lawful.
The increment is for the over 100,000 strong civil servants in Lagos.
Political parties were also asked to provide their campaign timetables to the command to aid necessary security actions.
The Plateau governor said “it is not enough to blame leaders alone without corresponding responsibility”.
The communique added that the government should purge security agencies of the county’s enemies that allegedly infiltrated them.
Festus Okoye, INEC spokesman, disclosed this on Friday night.
He said that as the president, he has always reiterated his commitment to a peaceful, credible and transparent election.
“I have done my flag off with my 28 children and four wives, who will vote for Tinubu and every other candidate of the APC.”
Mr Lawan, a sixth-term federal lawmaker, had resorted to returning to the Senate after failing to secure his party’s presidential ticket at the June 8 primary election.
