“In Sudan, most schools remain closed for the second school year in a row. More than 17 million of the 19 million school-aged children are out of school,” UNICEF stated.
She said this was in view of the catastrophic situation of the civilian population in Gaza.
Japan is prepared to provide further humanitarian aid to Gaza, totalling around $65 million.
EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said, “The EU has from the very beginning condemned the coup d’état in Niger in the strongest terms.”
”Evacuation orders must be reversed. International humanitarian law must be abided by, which means health care must be actively protected and never targeted,” WHO said.
The three countries called on the parties to the conflict to respect international humanitarian law to protect civilians.
