The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has commended Africa, especially Nigeria, for stepping up its social protection policy.
The delegates reached a resolution at the end of the 111th session of the ILC on Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.
ILO has charged Nigeria and other nations to step up the fight against child labour by supporting greater social justice.
The president said Nigeria, as a viable member state of the ILO and a connoisseur of workers’ rights, had ratified all the core conventions of the organisation.
ILO has called on governments to prioritise social justice as workers across the globe celebrate 2023 Workers Day.
