Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta, officially received the facilities on Tuesday at Gyawana, Lamurde Local Government Area.
The IOM said rising droughts, floods, and environmental degradation are driving displacement across the continent, leaving millions vulnerable.
The U.S. government has offered humanitarian assistance to victims of the devastating flooding, which recently occurred in Maiduguri and elsewhere.
The envoy said that nearly 1,776 stranded Nigerians had so far been safely returned home in 2024.
This is the sixth evacuation exercise the federal government is conducting this year, with almost 5,000 Nigerians successfully evacuated from Libya.
The evacuees are 71 females, 54 males, 14 children and 13 infants, and are expected to arrive at the Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos at 8:00 p.m.
