Stakeholders have called for stronger Africa-centred systems to reduce barriers affecting intra-African trade.
The Nigeria Customs Service says it has begun equipping stakeholders with technical knowledge to enhance Nigeria’s participation in intra-African trade.
She said that the president was putting in place policies to diversify the nation’s economy.
Mr Musumba said the facility was provided in two tranches of $20 million each.
“It is through this spirit of cooperation and collaboration that we will unlock the untapped potential of our continent,” said Mr Obasanjo.
UNECA said the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) increased intra-African trade by 20 per cent in 2022.
It was reported that Nigerian products were exported to 122 countries with Brazil recording the highest import value of 12.27 per cent.
