Ms Banigo said inadequate protective equipment and essential supplies could expose frontline health workers to occupational risks.
“It represents Nigeria’s first statutory mechanism for sustainable health financing,” she said.
Senators and House of Representatives members have harped on the need to continue to pray for peace in Nigeria.
Ms Ukaire commended TCI for aligning its work with the National Family Planning Policy and supporting states to strengthen local systems.
Ms Banigo, affirmed her commitment to improving healthcare access for her constituents.
“We are advocating for more women to join parliaments in their various countries because they have a lot to bring to the table,” said Ms Banigo.
She said the subsidy will significantly reduce the operational costs of public hospitals.
