Mr Shettima, stated, “Our members fully support Dangote Refinery. Since supply began, marketers have consistently lifted products without any complaints.”
The association also expressed delight over a recent agreement by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to supply petrol directly to registered IPMAN members.
Over 15,000 direct jobs are projected to be created across the logistics chain.
According to Mr Anyaso, fire incidents in any filling station outlet and other places lead to huge losses.
“Despite the news that has been circulating, the masses should not panic,” said Mr Shettima.
He said the price of fuel in a deregulated market was being dictated by the international crude oil price.
Mr Okechukwu described as misplaced the notion that the ruling APC was the architect of the emerging one-party.
The coordinator of IPMAN’s national task force, Ado Garba, sought collaboration when he led his team to visit the NSCDC headquarters in Katsina.
“Both organisations claim that they can import PMS at lower prices than what is being sold by the Dangote Refinery,” the statement said.
“Conducting business through public speculation is counterproductive and unpatriotic,” the statement said.
