Millions of mourners flocked to a funeral procession in Tehran on Wednesday.
Mr Raisi and other officials died after the helicopter suffered a hard landing due to bad weather in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province.
Mr Raisi was “a supporter and friend of the resistance movements and their standard-bearer in all political and diplomatic forums around the world.”
“Our thoughts go to the families,” the EU leader stated.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was deeply saddened and shocked by Mr Raisi’s tragic demise.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has died in a helicopter crash, the Islamic Republic News Agency reports.
