He said the combined troops include those of the 21 Special Armoured Brigade, 152 Task Force Battalion, Hybrid Forces, and Civilian JTF.
The army said the devices were recovered during a clearance operation by troops of the 24 Brigade, Operation Hadin Kai, in the Dikwa general area.
Mr Ogalla urged the troops to remain resolute and focused while emphasising the need for synergy among security agencies in the theatre.
The army statement noted that some of the terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds.
According to him, Nigeria is a strategic African partner of the U.S.
”It suffices to mention that the foreign mercenaries facilitate tactical and strategic training for these terrorists,” the army said.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, targeted troops of the 25 Task Force Brigade.
