NRC said the resumption followed a temporary suspension of the train operations along the route due to a train derailment at Abraka railway station.
Mr Alkali assured that NRC would evacuate the distressed coaches from the tracks to guarantee the resumption of services as soon as possible.
The group’s leader, Ogheneruno Oghenetega, described the petition in a statement on Monday as despicable.
“If there have been misdeeds, we need to know.”
The “rail line” was said to have cut off causing the derailment at a close-by heavy forest in Kogi.
