Mr Oshodi said Libya’s willingness to stage the championship reflected the growth and diversity of table tennis across the continent.

Aruna, the 2024 African Cup champion, delivered a confident performance on Saturday, winning 11-9, 11-7, 11-7, 11-9 to underline his top-contender status.
Aruna is the only African male player to have reached the semifinals of the WTT Contender in Doha.
Also, Aruna started his campaign at the ITTF World Cups Macao 2024 on a good note.
For the 13th African Games, table tennis is one of the sports that will kick-start the games before the official opening on March 8.
The athletes said they needed those at the helm to believe in them and expose them to international competitions.
