The registrar explained that data from JAMB revealed that Mr Okeke was admitted a year ago in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), in the School of Medicine.
The board stated that the cut-off points were determined by heads of tertiary institutions.
Education minister Tunji Alausa gave the directive in Abuja on Tuesday at the 2025 policy meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
The JAMB registrar said the turnout was alarmingly low, with only about 12 per cent of registered candidates showing up across the country.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said of the 336,845 who were eventually scheduled, 21,082 were absent.
The board said it extended the opportunity to all the affected candidates notwithstanding the reasons for their absence.
The group said that the development was a deliberate plot to punish the people of the South-East.
“There must be no room for further glitches—not in JAMB, not in any arm of government,” Mr Obi said in a statement on Thursday.
The Nigerian Defence Academy has announced the screening process for the 2025 admission cycle for the 77 Regular Course on May 24.
He said the board was concerned about complaints from a few states and was scrutinising the issues in detail to identify and resolve any technical faults.
