Mr Adams said that the initiative was inspired largely by his upbringing, having been raised by a widowed mother.
He said it was commendable that the KADIRS collection had improved from N62 billion in 2023 to N70 billion in 2024.
Mr Adams said the groups and individuals claimed to be empowered by KADIRS to collect taxes, levies and fines.
The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service has sealed the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company over a N600 million tax liability.
The committee is headed by the executive chairman of the KADIRS, with the board secretary and legal advisor of the service serving as joint secretaries.
According to him, taxation is the most elastic and dependable source of government revenue.
The governor urged the new appointees to be diligent and create strategies and operational plans to move KADIRS to greater heights.
