Mr Wakil said the incident was triggered by an encroachment of farmlands by herders from Jigawa State, who allegedly destroyed agricultural produce.

The exercise was organised by Jigawa State Ministry of Water Resources, in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund.
The CP said the feat achieved reflected the unwavering efforts of the officers and men of the command.
Mr Tijjani stated that the victim was confirmed dead at about 3:30 p.m. by a medical doctor at the Kafin Hausa General Hospital.
The DG said that Jigawa State was among the 11 frontline states of the agency’s operation due to its strategic importance.

Mr Muhammad said that the LG received 9,000 doses of vaccines from the state government.
Mr Namadi of Jigawa said the N840 million would be distributed among 210 families of victims and survivors of the incident.
Each of the beneficiaries will receive two she-goats and one he-goat.
