The SDP chairman in the state, Ebenezer Akinbuli, said the results of the exercise announced by ODIEC did not reflect the will of the people.
Mr Aremo, who explained that 12 political parties keenly contested the election, said it was peaceful without any incidents.
Joseph Aremo, chairman of the commission and chief returning officer, said the APC also won all the councillorship seats in the 16 LGAs.
Mr Aremo said that the PDP was part of the processes leading to the exercise before its withdrawal.
Mr Aremo said the commission had also met with stakeholders that were key to the success of the election.
“We knew that the commission would have nothing to work with without the submission of nomination forms,” he said.
ODIEC’s spokesperson, Joseph Aremo, announced the indefinite postponement of the polls, citing political parties’ non-compliance with guidelines.
“So, our resolve to participate is to reverse the uneventful and uninspiring narratives. It is to restore the lost glory of local government administration and its pride.
