The strategy was unveiled at an event commemorating 2023 World Toilet Day under the theme ‘Accelerating Change’ on Tuesday in Abuja.
An estimated 3.5 billion people still lack access to safe toilets, of which 419 million practise open defecation.
This, Mr Utsev said, would strengthen the partnership and create an opportunity for knowledge sharing.
The minister visited the Oyan dam and the flooded Isheri area during the tour.
Water resources minister Joseph Utsev commemorated the 2023 Global Handwashing Day, themed: ‘Clean Hands are within our Reach’.
The minister said the commercialisation of the basins would enable them to generate increased revenues for the federal government.
He also said that the ministry was working toward providing potable water for drinking, sanitation, and irrigation.
Ms Khan said that for Nigeria to achieve the roadmap for the WASH sector, the funding gaps must be closed.
“We have a long way to go and we are not panicking, we will deliver with the help of God,” he said.
Minister Joseph Utsev said that reports from inland dams including Kainji, Jebba, and Shiroro showed a consistent flow regime.
