He advised motorists to shun speeding and maintain lane discipline to avoid road traffic crashes on the highway.
He warned that the motorcycle union would not shield any member arrested by enforcement agents for failure to use the safety helmets.
Mr Adekanye called on motorists to shun night travelling.
He said that six people were involved in the accident.
Mr Adekanye also said 618 persons sustained various degrees of injuries in 246 road crashes recorded to have occurred within the period.
The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
The sector commander attributed the high number of road crashes to speed violations, saying it accounted for 68.57 per cent out of 105 recorded incidents.
A commercial bus was travelling overnight from Kastina when it had a collision with a container-laden truck driving against traffic.
Majority of the vehicles were impounded for not having drivers licences and other valid vehicle papers.
The FRSC said it recorded 609 crashes from January to November and attributed the major cause of the crashes to speeding, wrong overtaking and tyre burst.
