Mr Abdullah said the surgeries were conducted across selected states using standard medical procedures by trained specialists.
Sightsavers Nigeria has called for inclusive sexual health and improved access to family planning services for people with disabilities (PWDs).
“People with disabilities are being hit hardest by the lack of progress on poverty and inequality,” said Mr Isiyaku. “The promise to leave no one behind is in peril.”
Sightsavers has been working closely with the Nigerian government to ensure the country’s commitment to the protocol.
