Governor Francis Nwifuru has suspended three commissioners for one month over absenteeism from the state executive council meeting held on March 17.
Information commissioner Jude Okpor disclosed this on Tuesday in Abakaliki at a news conference after the state executive council meeting.
Mr Okpor said, “Others are the executive secretaries of the state Primarily Healthcare Development Agency and that of the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency
The sector commander of the FRSC in Ebonyi, Henry Igwe, told journalists on Tuesday in Abakaliki that both personnel were abducted on March 8.
The commissioner said those recruited would serve under the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) in Ebonyi.
The conflicts had resulted in the loss of several lives and property as efforts made to quell them in the past failed.
He noted that the government has approved the payment of arrears of gratuity to retired civil servants from 1996 to 2021 with a cost implementation of N4.3 billion.
The arrested hoodlums included two herbalists, a male and female and 13 others.
