Mr Lamidi is being prosecuted on allegations of murder, attempted murder, arms dealing, armed robbery and kidnapping.
Proceedings at the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan Division, were halted on Tuesday after Mukaila Lamidi, aka ‘Auxiliary’, collapsed inside the courtroom.
The matter was adjourned until June 11 for the adoption of addresses in the trial-within-trial case.
The assembly impeached the former deputy governor over allegations of financial recklessness, misconduct and insubordination.
The convict while armed with a gun, had robbed the victims of their belongings, including laptops, mobile phones, jewellery and cash.
