The Supreme Court has confirmed the death of one of its judges, Justice Centus Nweze.
The apex court ruled that the judgement of the appellate court which set aside the decision of the high court should not be tampered with.
The senate president said that the supreme court judgement would “strengthen our democracy”.
Justices Emmanuel Agim and Adamu Jauro, two other judges on the five-member panel, dissented from the majority ruling.
Justice Centus Nweze delivered the judgement on Wednesday, ending the long-drawn legal battle of supremacy between the two factions.
APC claimed that the primary election conducted on May 27, 2022 which produced Mr Machina is unknown to law because it was conducted by unlawful people.
