The judge subsequently adjourned the case until January 29, 2026 for continuation of hearing.
On Tuesday, the FCT High Court adjourned until October 21 to continue the trial of ex-CBN governor Godwin Emefiele over alleged procurement fraud.
The anti-graft agency accused Mr Emefiele of unlawfully approving the withdrawal of N124.8 billion from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation.

The police and SSS have been restrained from arresting the spokesperson for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Faruk Adejoh-Audu.
The suspended CBN governor was accused of conferring corrupt advantages on a staff of CBN, Ms Yaro, through awards of vehicle supply contracts worth over N1.2 billion.
Mr Emefiele is expected to remain in Kuje Correctional Centre pending when he meets the bail conditions.
Due to the plea bargain Mr Emefiele was said to be discussing with the federal government, the matter is yet to be heard till date.
The former CBN governor has been in the custody of the secret police since June 10, a day after he was fired by President Bola Tinubu.
