The trial of Chidinma Ojukwu, accused of the murder of Super TV CEO Michael Ataga, has again stalled due to the absence of a prosecution witness.
On Friday, the judge denied the defendant bail and ordered an accelerated hearing of the case.
Mr Nwajagu had, on Tuesday, prayed the court to admit him to bail on liberal terms.
Lagos State government dragged Mr Nwajagu before the court on May 9, alleging that his actions contravened the Criminal Laws of Lagos State (2015).
On Tuesday, the prosecution counsel announced his presence but there was no legal representation for the defendant.
She is charged alongside her sister, Chioma Egbuchu and one Adedapo Quadri.
The counsel was unable to appear because he was ill, while others in the defence team could not also appear due to other engagements.
Ms Ojukwu allegedly transferred the money on June 15, 2021, the day Mr Ataga died.
The witness was said to have sent a text message informing that he was drenched by rain and unable to get transportation to the court.
On May 12, it was said that the trial could no longer hold due to a change of counsel by the third defendant, Ms Egbuchu.
