“It is also politically wise and morally fair to recognise the dedication of those who stood firmly with you during the pre-election period,” said Mr Muhammad.
According to him, security is everyone’s business.
Mr Muhammad believed that with prayers, Nigeria would overcome the problems of kidnapping, banditry, corruption and other vices that hinder its growth.
Mr Muhammad urged President Bola Tinubu to ensure successful implementation of the country’s local government financial autonomy.
“If you look at the strength of the army in Nigeria today, there are about 290,000. If you compare it to Egypt, they have over three million soldiers,” said the CJTF chief.
Its chairman, Kailani Muhammad, said this at the inauguration of the CJTF operational office in Abuja on Wednesday.
The director-general also urged the federal government to stop rooting palliatives through state governments to the masses.
“The overwhelming majority of the senators-elect are of the opinion that we must be independent. That is the only way we can take the executive to account.”
