The prosecution counsel, Aisha Yakubu-Adamu, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between August 2019 and June 2020 in Gidan Kwano, Kiru Local Government.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 221(a) of the Penal Code Laws of Kano State.

The judge sentenced Mr Sa’idu to 20 years’ imprisonment pursuant to Section 225 of the Penal Code Law on unintentional homicide.
The defendant is standing trial alongside his wife Hafsat Umar, on an 11-count charge.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendants conspired and kidnapped the deceased and later contacted his family to demand a N3 million ransom.
Mr Suleiman-Dungurawa is from the Gargari ward in the Dawakin-Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
Mr Adamu-Aliyu held that the charges filed on May 13, 2024, against the defendants were competent to be tried.
The state government instituted an eight-count charge bordering on bribery, misappropriation and diversion of public funds against Mr Ganduje and his wife, Umar.
The defendant, who lives in the Sabuwar Gandu Quarters, Kano, was convicted of kidnapping and culpable homicide.
