He said, “I am here for charity visit, to see how you are doing and educate you on the critical role of customs operations in safeguarding Nigeria’s economy.’’
“Our operations so far have yielded positive outcomes leading to several seizures of items within the period under review.”
Mr Oramalugo said operatives intensified surveillance in the state and seized cannabis sativa, donkey skin and other items.
According to him, the car smuggler rammed into the victim with his Toyota Corolla along Tamac Road at about 4:00 a.m. on July 13.
He also said that the command had seized various smuggled items in the last four weeks in the state.
The interception was made based on a tipoff, Customs spokesman Nasir Manga said.
