Mr Udo said the attack occurred around 7:20 p.m. on Friday, January 10, resulting in the deaths of a local watchman and three contractors.
She said vacancies are advertised through the NIS website, official government channels and recognised national newspapers.
The service stated, “The public is to note that all platforms of the service are functional.’’
The NIS boss stressed the importance of synergy among stakeholders in combating trans-border crimes.
Mrs Nandap stressed the need for expedited policy implementation to foster regional integration and socio-economic progress.
Mrs Nandap said the NIS was working closely with relevant authorities to apprehend those behind the fake job vacancies.
The Nigeria Immigration Service has ordered the immediate repatriation of a Zimbabwean cleric, Eben Nhiwatawi, for visa violation.
Anyone who contravenes the section of the law is guilty of an offence and can face a maximum of 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine or both.
The NIS comptroller general said the directive was to ensure that foreign elements do not come into the country to participate in the protests.
“The officer in question has since been subjected to internal processes.’’
