Bandits on Saturday invaded and killed a staff of Government Science Secondary School Nasarawa-Eggon in the same local council the commissioner was abducted.
Mr Hemba disclosed that the kidnappers gang was a four-man squad that specialised in kidnapping only women.
The suspects were apprehended as they attempted to abduct a businesswoman, Falilat Oyetunji, popularly known as ‘Ero Arike’, at her residence.
The suspected kidnappers are Abdullahi Musa, 38, Abdullahi Ali, 25 and Abdullahi Suleiman, 19.
The police command in Edo claims it has killed one of the criminals who kidnapped a Catholic priest.
“We are not going to continue to tolerate this, where our colleagues on slight comments, are picked like chickens.”
A neighbour and family friend said Uchenna Nwube regained freedom alongside his friend’s mother-in-law, who was with him at the time he was kidnapped.
The Chief of Army Staff said the soldiers would be posted to various theatre operations to tame incessant insecurity bedeviling the country.
“They (kidnappers) are demanding N50 million as ransom, which I do not know how and when I can get such money. Please, I need help.”
One pump action, seven phones, charms, among others were recovered, a police spokesman said.
