The minister said the anniversary represented the enduring spirit, unity, and determination of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
The ministry, in a statement by its spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, said Coker died on Saturday after a brief illness.
Mr Ebienfa stated, “The stakeholders that are involved will have a meeting and agree on our best way to respond to it holistically.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday mourned the demise of Ziphorah Kela, a mid-career diplomat who served the nation with unwavering dedication and professionalism.
“Her untimely death is, indeed, a great loss to the ministry, the diplomatic community and the nation at large,” the ministry said.
Ebienfa stated, “Nigeria joins the international community in celebrating his life and times.’’
Mr Ebienfa said, “The ministry firmly disassociates itself from this impersonation and urges the public to disregard any messages from the fake account.’’
Mr Tuggar reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to protecting Nigerian citizens both at home and abroad.
