The forum said it was proud of the governor’s approach to issues of workers welfare and the Kogi people.
“The conduct of the hoodlums is barbaric, uncivilised and a grave danger to the institution of justice,” he said.
The APC claimed that Mr Ajaka’s supporters unleashed violence on its celebrating members and caused significant disruption.
“The citizens have a right to protest but they do not owe the unpatriotic opposition elements the window of violence.”
Mr Fanwo said that security reports indicated that all was not well in the Koton Kafe community.
Information commissioner Kingsley Fanwo, in a statement, expressed the state government’s “deep shock and sorrow” over the killing of the students.
Mr Ododo disclosed that he had silently declared war on criminals in the state.
The government said the students regained their freedom after local vigilance groups and other security agencies engaged the kidnappers in battle.
“The Kogi government doesn’t subscribe to violence and actions that breach the peace of the state.”
