He said the bill seeks to increase the financial thresholds for open competitive bidding and restricted procurement.
The directive was issued on Thursday, following the governor’s visit to the affected community to commiserate with victims.
“The chief’s wife, his mother and three of his children are missing. That makes five people from his household unaccounted for,” a resident stated.
The bill passed the first reading on September 9 during the plenary session.
