Festus Osifo, the TUC president, said the strike would remain until “government at all levels wake up to their responsibility.”
“And I’m also happy to note that in Ondo State, NLC has not in any way officially communicated to us that they are on strike,” the HoS said.
It also approved the payment of leave bonuses for 2017 and the implementation and payment of 2020 and 2021 promotion arrears to its civil servants.
He said the government had taken good notice of the concerns of labour leaders, and that the governor had directed a review of the issues raised by the unions.
“The meeting is expected to discuss all the grievances raised by the workers for embarking on the indefinite strike.”
Mr El-Rufai’s government on Tuesday said it had forwarded names of three nurses involved in the purported oxygen mask removal to the Ministry of Justice.
“The suspension was to pave way for negotiation as requested by the federal government.”
The union advised the federal government to call “power drunk” Mr El-Rufai to order.
On Wednesday, Kano government announced that it would be reverting to the N18,000 minimum wage.
Government and labour leaders arranged to meet tonight to discuss the proposed strike.
