President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime says it is committed to creating an enabling environment for creating 21 million jobs and lifting 35 million people out of poverty by 2025.
He said that Mr Ngige is responsible for how the seven months old strike has lingered, having turned the situation into a personal affair.
“If we accept what ASUU is saying, it will create room for everyone to be asking for their own payment platform; the military is on IPPIS and health workers.”
The labour minister had been asked to resign due to his interest in the ruling APC ticket for 2023.
The APC gave all appointees aspiring for elective offices in 2023 till Saturday April 30 to relinquish their present appointment.
The politician said he was contesting because “he has all it takes to steer the ship of Nigeria to safe harbour.”
