Mr Okupe was full of praise for Mr Tinubu’s government and harsh economic policies.
Mr Okupe said there is confusion about whether Nigeria is running a federal system or unitary system which any reform must address.
“I think the Obidient movement are on my side. Let me tell you this when you say Obidient side (movement), are they not Nigerians? We are all Nigerians.”
Mr Osuntokun described his ZLP senatorial ticket as a “redundant position”, adding that he was now stepping into “greater moral consequence for Nigeria.”
The state secretary, Feyisola Michael, asked the presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi, to halt his state rallies over Mr Okupe’s financial misappropriation.
