Williams Manga, FRSC unit commander, told journalists that the accident occurred at 7:10 a.m. opposite the Mammy Market Barracks axis of the expressway.
Mr Fayoade said that the checkpoint reduction wouldn’t affect security in the area.
The environment and water resources commissioner said that the culprits would be prosecuted.

The Badagry command of the FRSC had a record of 15 crashes in the first half of 2022, involving 113 people, in which 26 were injured, and six died.
The defendant, 37-year-old Moses Okhakumen, is being tried on a two-count charge of assault and obstruction.
