Mr Tinubu reiterated the importance of the project, saying it would bring economic development to Akwa Ibom.
Mr Umahi assured that procurement regarding the project would start as soon as the discussions were over, after which work would start.
Mr Umahi thanked stakeholders for their support.
The road also connects the popular Agbokim Waterfalls and the border to Cameroon.
He said that the review would soon be presented to the Federal Executive Council.
The decision was made to ensure fair compensation for the affected citizens.
